In a world dominated by hatred and superstition, they are the whim of science and the caprice of nature. These outcasts are hated and feared by those who cannot understand and accept their individuality. And yet, despite the ignorance and aggressiveness of the masses, the X-Men and thousands of mutants scattered around the world survive and challenge their oppressors. Under the guidance of Professor Charles Xavier, a world-renowned telepath, the gifted students learn to control and manipulate their strange abilities for the benefit of humanity. They protect a world that fears them.
