The story of the legal process of Vivian Amsalem, who for five years tries to obtain a divorce in the only legal institution responsible for divorce in Israel - the rabbinical court. Vivian and her lawyer are confronted by an uncompromising man, Elisha, who does not respond to an invitation to the rabbinical court. When he is finally obliged to appear in court, he refuses to divorce (het), even though he and Vivian have not lived together for a long time. Witnesses testify, the procedure continues, and Vivian is still not able to find her dignity.
