The series tells about the events of 1557. The Queen of Scotland, Maria, has been buried in a monastery since childhood. The nuns help her avoid rivals and villains who want her dead. But the time comes to return to the castle and become not only the titular queen, but also the wife of Prince Francis, to whom the girl was engaged a few years ago
