The Wrocław District Court sentenced Christian Bala in 2007 to 25 years in prison for murdering his ex-wife's lover. The murder took place on November 13, 2000, but during the investigation it was not possible to find the criminal. The turning point was Christian Bala's novel "Amok", which describes a very similar murder. Forensic experts claimed that there is a similarity between the main character of the book and its author.
