The film tells a creepy story of terror, murders and unknown evil, which shocked even experienced researchers of paranormal forces Ed and Lorraine Warren (the prototypes of these heroes investigate otherworldly forces in real life). One of the most sensational cases in their practice begins with a fight for a boy's soul. The case takes them further than ever in their practice and marks the first time in US history that a murder suspect cites his demonic possession as the reason for the crime.
