Throughout her life, Elizabeth II remained the most popular woman on the planet. During the long 70 years of the reign of Great Britain, the Queen was under the spotlight at every moment: she was photographed so often that you can trace the evolution of photography behind these pictures, she was loved as if she were a member of the family, but she was also fiercely criticized for the slightest mistake. Everyone wanted to know what the queen is really like, without unnecessary decorations and official ceremonial? What makes her smile and what makes her sad? What is Elizabeth like when she gives free rein to her emotions? The answers to these questions are given by photographers who have worked with the Queen and who were lucky enough to open the veil of mysterious inaccessibility to see the real person behind the symbol of the monarchy.
